2016 Derby Marathon Street Closures

4-29-16 & 4-30-16

The following streets will be closed and or have their traffic diverted.  Adjacent streets to the below listed route may also be effected.

The below listed street will have NO PARKING from 7:00am on 4-29 to 4:00pm on 4-30.
Preston from Witherspoon to Main Street

The below listed street will be closed from 9:00am on 4-29 to 4:00pm on 4-30
River Road – from Preston St. to Witherspoon Street

The below listed streets will be closed from 4:00am to 4:00pm on 4-30
Main Street – from Jackson Street to Brook Street
Preston St – from Main to River Road
Witherspoon St. – from Floyd St. to Clay Street

The following streets will be closed from 7:00am until 4:00pm on 4-30
Official Start: Brook St. & Main St.
Main Street – from Jackson to 20th Street
20th Street – from Main St. to Market Street
Market Street from 20th to 15th Street
Muhammad Ali – From 15th St. to 18th Street
18th St. – from Muhammad Ali to Broadway
Broadway – from Dixie to 2nd Street
4th St. – from Broadway to Oakdale
Park Ave – from 4th St to 6th St
6th St. – from Park Ave to Magnolia
Magnolia – from 4th St. to 6th St
Central Avenue – from Taylor Blvd to 2nd

The following Streets will be closed from 6:00am until 4:00pm on 4-30.
3rd Street – from Central Ave. to Southern Parkway
3rd Street – from Central Avenue to Main Street
3rd Street – from Broadway to Main Street (New Marathon Course)

The following Streets will be closed from 7:00am until 4:00pm on 4-30.
Southern Parkway – from 3rd St. to New Cut Road
Iroquois Park (The Park will close at 6:00am)
Taylor Blvd. – from Huntoon to Kenwood (Cross Traffic will be allowed)

The following Streets will be closed from 8:00am until 4:00pm on 4-30.
Breckenridge Street – from 3rd to Barret Avenue
Barret Avenue to Winter Ave.
Winter to Baxter Avenue
Baxter to Broadway
Broadway to 3rd St. (North westbound lanes for runners) – Use two way traffic on south Eastbound Broadway. Broadway I-65N Ramp exit 136A will be shut down. Access to I-65N exit to 136B only.

CROSS TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED AT ALL INTERSECTIONS WHEN IT WILL NOT AFFECT THE RACE!

No Parking midnight Friday, April 29th – Saturday, April 30th- 6pm
