Bardstown Road Aglow
- Annual Holiday Tree Lighting is at 6:00 p.m. (in the Wendy’s parking lot at Bardstown Road & Grinstead) with Local Celebrities Connie Leonard and WLKY’s Kent Taylor as well as jolly ole Santa Claus (pictured on the left) with festive music.
- Festivities start at 5:30 p.m. and the Tree Lighting Countdown at 6:00 p.m. Free Hot Chocolate provided by Safai Coffee Shop.
- The Thirsty Peddler will also be in the Wendy’s parking lot with a team of Volunteer Highlands Reindeers to take folks along the Bardstown Road Corridor after the festive tree lighting.
- Special discounts on food, drinks, & merchandise at participating restaurants and shops along Bardstown Rd, Baxter & Barret Avenues & Douglass Loop.
- Free Trolley Rides! from Bardstown Road to Baxter and Barret Avenues and Douglass Loop.
- Live Holiday Music at several Highlands locations from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. thanks to the Louisville Music Federation and the Voices of Kentuckiana.
- Additional security for the holiday event will be provided by Louisville Metro Police, Fifth Division.
- Instagram Photo Contests for First, Second and Third Prizes for Best Aglow Photos. Use the hashtag #Aglow502. Contest ends at midnight on Sunday, December 3.
