Cherokee Triangle Association Kicks Off Neighborhood Stewards Program

Do you enjoy walking in the Triangle? The Alley, Streetscape & Preservation committee of the CTA is looking for volunteers to periodically walk a section of our neighborhood to act as Neighborhood Stewards.  Volunteers will be the “eyes and ears” for the Triangle.  They will augment the limited staff of the Metro Landmarks Commission, which cannot completely monitor Louisville’s historic preservation districts

Each volunteer will “Stroll” a section of the neighborhood every two/three weeks, keeping an eye out for any exterior changes to properties, trash, streetscape or alley issues.  You will be trained on how to observe and identify “trouble Spots”, and then report these to the ASP committee or directly to Metro Call 311.  The committee is laying out sections of our neighborhood so that volunteers can choose are area they are most familiar with.

This program will be an important contributor to sustaining and preserving the Triangle.  Join us!  A volunteer orientation is planned for either October 4th or 10th.  Contact Gail Morris gmorris1314@gmail.com or phone (502) 641-0562.
