Brainstorm Sessions for reuse of the former Urban Government Center site on Barret Avenue

Paristown Pointe Community Engagement

Paristown Pointe Visioning Workshops in August!

The residents and stakeholders of Paristown Pointe have the opportunity to guide and inform the development of the neighborhood by sharing their ideas in an upcoming series of workshops to be hosted by Develop Louisville’s Office of Advanced Planning. The workshops will brainstorm possible reuses of the former Urban Government Center site on Barret Avenue and the Louisville Metro Housing Authority building on Vine Street. These properties are a keystone of the Paristown Pointe neighborhood and ideally suited for redevelopment.
How can these neighborhood anchors contribute to quality of place? What ingredients make a vibrant and healthy neighborhood? How can transit enhance connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods? What opportunities for innovations in energy efficiency and planning can set Paristown Pointe apart?
Advanced Planning will work with the Paristown Pointe neighborhood and interested stakeholders to develop a visualization of the future Paristown Pointe. Bring your ideas about the neighborhood to one of our workshops.

Workshops will take place at 810 Barret Avenue with brief presentations and tours of the property.

Workshop Dates:
Monday, Aug. 22, 6 – 8 pm
Tuesday, Aug. 23, 6 – 8 pm
Saturday, Aug. 27, 10am – 12 pm
